The Salvation Army has been proud to call Denver home since 1887. For the past 129 years, we have been a constant source of support for our neighbors in-need. We are grateful to be a part of this vibrant ever-growing community who have enabled us to stay true to our mission of meeting human needs without discrimination.
In 2017 alone, around 163,000 individuals received help from The Salvation Army in Denver. Each of our locations offers services tailored to meet the unique needs in that community. Programs include: youth programs, financial assistance, senior programming, Christmas assistance, emergency disaster relief, shelter for the homeless and substance abuse rehabilitation.

Food Drive: Zero Hunger/Zero Waste
Entire Month of December
Help The Salvation Army and King Soopers make sure every child is warm, safe and well-nourished this Christmas by making a donation at your local King Soopers. Donations are accepted at coin canisters and registers at participating King Soopers locations.
Problem Solvers Toy Drive
We want every child to wake up with a gift under the Christmas Tree and FOX 31 Denver’s Problem Solvers Toy Drive is going to help! FOX31 Denver, Hand & Stone Spas, Timbuk Toys and Grandrabbits toy stores will be collecting toys for The Salvation Army. The public is asked to donate new and unwrapped toys for children from low-income families.
The Big Ring
The Big Ring is the largest corporate takeover of Red Kettles in the country. From 4-7 PM King Soopers employees will take over the kettles! Stop by your local King Soopers, say hi to the bell ringer, and help raise funds that provide services year-round.
November - December
This Christmas season adopt an angel at your local MACY’S or select JCPenney’s and fulfill the Christmas wish for a very special child in your community. Unfortunately, Christmas is challenging for those struggling with difficult family, emotional, or employment problems. Pick up an Angel Tag at your local store and have fun shopping for your angel. Spread the joy of caring and sharing with those who would otherwise go without. Additional locations can be found on our website at imsalvationarmy.org.
When you give to The Salvation Army, your generous support transforms lives, strengthens families, and improves our community.
