Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Our message is based on the Bible. Our ministry is motivated by the love of God. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name, without discrimination.

The Salvation Army Metro Denver is committed to serving people in need by caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — in order to transform lives, strengthen families, and build our communities.

Goals
The Salvation Army Metro Denver continues to strive to expand and enhance its programs and services with the goal of Doing the Most Good for people with the most need.

Fundraising Events:

Season of Sharing Toy Drive
December 9th & 16th
This Christmas, FOX31 Denver has teamed up with Gordmans Department Store to collect toys for The Salvation Army. Barrels will be placed at all Gordmans stores in the Denver Metro area throughout the season for shoppers to donate new and unwrapped toys for children from low-income families.

Fill the Truck
November thru December
We want every child to wake up with a gift under the Christmas Tree. Walmart’s Fill The Truck campaign challenges their shoppers to fill a cardboard truck shaped box. All toys are distributed to local families in need. Boxes are placed in front of all Walmart stores.

Angel Tree
November thru December
This Christmas season, adopt an angel at your local MACY’S and fulfill the Christmas wish for a very special child in your community. Unfortunately Christmas is challenging for those struggling with family, emotional, or employment problems. Pick up an Angel Tree Tag at your local Macy’s and have fun shopping for your angel. Spread the joy of caring and sharing with those who would otherwise go without.

Celebrity Bell Ringing
Every Wednesday from Nov. 23rd thru Dec. 21st
King Soopers at 2750 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver CO
11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Stop by and say hello to your favorite local celebrities as they volunteer to ring bells at Salvation Army’s red kettle. This fun filled event is a friendly reminder to give to those who need it most during the holiday season. 100% of kettle donations support local community programs and services in the neighborhood where money is raised.

National Donut Day
June 2, 2017
Each year, the first Friday in June marks everyone’s favorite holiday – National Donut Day is celebrated to honor Salvation Army’s Donut Lassies who served during WWI & II. Donut shops throughout the nation give away free donuts and come together to raise money to support Salvation Army’s youth programs.
