Mile High United Way unites people, ideas and resources to advance the common good.

Goals
Working side-by-side with the community, Mile High United Way takes on the big, complex issues that face Metro Denver. We unite the full force of the community to work toward four Community Impact Goals:
• Children enter school ready to succeed
• Children are reading at or above grade level by the end of third grade
• Youth graduate from high school ready for post-secondary education or the workforce
• Individuals and families can meet their basic needs and have opportunities to move toward economic success

Fundraising Events: 

Mile High United Way’s Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving Day • Washington Park, Denver
Named one of the country’s Top 10 Turkey Trots by Shape Magazine, Mile High United Way’s Turkey Trot raises money to support programs that help change lives and transform our community. Each year, 10,000 people walk, run or trot their way through the 4-mile course in Denver’s beautiful Washington Park. unitedwaydenver.org/turkeytrot

Mile High United Way’s Women United Luncheon
Join more than 1,000 community and business leaders from the Metro Denver area for an inspirational luncheon hosted by Mile High United Way’s Women United. unitedwaydenver.org/luncheon

Volunteer Opportunities: 

Volunteering with Mile High United Way can mean reading with children, mentoring youth entering the workforce, serving meals to families and more. VolunteerUNITED is an easy way to find volunteer opportunities that change the odds for people in our community: volunteer.unitedwaydenver.org
Project Homeless Connect – Project Homeless Connect is a one-day resource fair at the Colorado Convention Center that connects homeless and at-risk individuals with a range of services, from housing resources and resume workshops, to clothing banks and health and wellness services. We expect to see 1,000 clients at this year’s event, and need nearly as many volunteers.
Turkey Trot – Volunteer with family and friends in Denver’s beautiful Washington Park at Mile High United Way’s Turkey Trot, one of the best Thanksgiving events in the US.

Giving Opportunities: 

Investments in Mile High United Way help change the odds for families and individuals in Metro Denver. Together, we can solve the big problems facing our community.

Mile High United Way’s giving societies and affinity groups are agents of positive change in our community who come together to move people out of poverty:

Tocqueville Society –Now in its 30th year, Tocqueville Society members are a powerful group of business and community leaders giving $10,000 or more annually to Mile High United Way to create lasting community change.

Women United – With the mission to inspire, educate, and motivate positive change, Women United members give $1,000 or more to Mile High United Way each year.

Emerging Leaders Council – Our collective of young professionals (ages 21-45), ELC members support Mile High United Way with an annual gift of $500 or more and make a positive impact through volunteering, advocacy, and philanthropy.

Legacy Society – Those who choose to leave a legacy to our community through estate and planned gifts become members of Mile High United Way’s Legacy Society.

Workplace Campaigns – Hosted by companies across Metro Denver, Mile High United Way’s workplace campaigns encourage employee involvement and investment in our community.

Corporate Sponsors – Mile High United Way welcomes corporate sponsorship of our Turkey Trot, Women United Luncheon, Emerging Leaders Council, and Tocqueville Society.
