Mission Statement
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatments, and ensuring access to high quality, specialized care. In all that we do, we are committed to fulfilling this mission.

Fundraising Events: 

Great Strides Walks
April, May & June
Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s signature event, Great Strides raises $40 million annually across the nation. This is a great opportunity to get your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to come together as one community for one cause.

CF Climb
July
CF Climb is an exhilarating stair-climbing and fundraising event. Family, friends and co-workers unite and climb 3,865 stairs for a one of a kind event at Sports Authority Field. Race up the stairs like a professional football player or go at your own pace.

CF Cycle for Life
August
CF Cycle for Life is a fully-supported ride with route options of 14, 49, or 65 miles. From breakfast to our cycle post party, you can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.

Xtreme Hike
September
Join your new best friends on a fun-filled weekend hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Spend the day hiking through Vail with support along the route and at the trailhead. Event includes a two-night hotel stay, Friday night carb-loading dinner, along with breakfast, lunch and a celebratory dinner on hike day. An awards breakfast will finish the weekend on Sunday morning.

Colorado’s Finest
October
An evening cocktail reception celebratory event recognizing 20-25 young professionals in Colorado for their professional and community accomplishments. Each honoree takes on the role of fundraising to support research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.

Breath of Life Gala
November
Elegant, entertaining and heartwarming, the Breath of Life Gala is an event you won’t want to miss. The evening includes a silent and live auction, special musical performances, dancing and much more. The evening brings together more than 400 friends, colleagues and supporters of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Don’t miss this spectacular experience!

Volunteer Opportunities: 

The Rocky Mountain Chapter relies on volunteers at all events to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. Volunteers generously donate their time and talents throughout the year, with opportunities available for large groups as well as individuals.
